Are you interested in learning about the pros and cons of different installation options? Are you looking to see the processing phases and results from Specim AFX? If you answered yes, then this webinar is a must for you.

As the budgeting and planning for the next flight season are underway, we thought that you might want to learn from the best. So, join Dr. Eija Honkavaara, Niko Koivumäki and Jukka Okkonen in our webinar, where they will show you the ropes in remote sensing campaigns.

Webinar topics cover data processing, real-life examples and user experience, comparisons between different devices and technologies. There will also be time for a Q&A session at the end.

Jukka Okkonen, Specim.

Jukka is one of the founders of Specim and specializes in using our Hyperspectral Systems on various Airborne Platforms ranging from Fixed-Wing and Helicopters to Drones. He also has a long experience in system-level engineering, technical support, computer architectures, camera, and real-time software solutions.

Eija Honkavaara, FGI.

Dr. Eija Honkavaara is a Research Professor at the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute in the National Land Survey (FGI) and a Docent at the Aalto University in the field of Automatic Systems in Photogrammetry. Her current research focuses on drone-based geoinformation and AI technologies for environmental remote sensing. The DroneFinland-team led by Dr. Honkavaara has developed several generations of high-performance drone remote sensing systems with cameras, hyperspectral sensors, analytics applications as well as in-house data processing chains. She has a broad international research network, is a leader of the working group “Hyperspectral Imaging Applications” in the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), and has led several national and international projects on UAV remote sensing.

Niko Koivumäki, FGI.

Niko Koivumäki works as a Research Scientist at FGI and is a PhD student at Aalto university. His research focus is development of novel technologies for drone data capture and georeferencing and object geometric modeling. He has been responsible for the drone integration of Specim AFX at FGI and development of georeferencing procedures.
